Three cheers for Kindergarten! Our class did a wonderful job presenting a play about mercy for the whole school at chapel today. We learned many new skills as we prepared for this project, but the most valuable lesson is learning how to give mercy to others. I hope you'll talk about mercy at home and find ways to live it as a family.
We did a responsive writing about there favorite part of our play afterwards. In math we tried to find mistakes in our subtraction sentences. At story time we heard a funny narrative story about a pigeon who needs a bath. We learned the word 'dialog' and added it to our cognitive content dictionary. In reading we practiced writing and properly using words that end in 'ed' and 'ing'. At center time we played with play doh, made rain clouds, built with legos, worked on our timelines and played on the iPads. Wow, it's been a fine day... yip, yip, yaaaay for all our prairie dogs and supporting cast!
