We celebrated Valentine's Day early in Kindergarten, because it's on the weekend. We ate heart cookies, made cool frames, played candy heart games and talked about love today. It fits in well with this month's Bible theme of compassion. This morning we saw a play about the Good Samaritan and learned God wants all His people to show compassion to those in need. We also heard from a polished group of BLS musicians that are headed for Portland and the LEST competition tomorrow through Saturday. Our school is full of talent and I'm excited to see them shine. In math we found ways to add to five. We sorted short and long vowel words in reading. Everyone was excited to be bringing home a Valentine bag full of love and sweet from their classmates.
