It was an exciting morning as the students found their new seats. We will be working on the word 'alert'; trying to grow in being alert at school and helping our table mates to do the same.
This morning we began the special Christmas advent season. Our first Bible story is about Zechariah and Elizabeth and the birth of John. The class enjoyed pointing out a few Christmas touches to the room. We have a tree in the library that we encourage students to decorate with handmade ornaments.
Our story today was about Jack Frost...I think he's alive and well today! In math we counted up team points for the last table challenge and Green table won! We graphed data and analyzed the results in practice for the test tomorrow. After lunch, we finished working on the letter Xx and wrote a little about who came to our Thanksgiving dinner.
For learning centers we made Christmas cards for Meals on Wheels, built, worked on a special project for Christmas and played learning games on the iPads.
It was Monday and we eased into the start of a full week of learning.
Warm blessings,
Mrs. Luoma
